DescriptionMy first Schoonover, and it’s a beauty. From the story, “The White Angel,” published in the June 1920 edition of The Ladies home Journal (page 22). Caption reads, “As Louise approached the door of her tent.” Schoonover was one of the key artists of the Brandywine school of illustration, and was a household name during illustration’s Golden Age, publishing in all of the major publications of the day. While prolific, most of his art resides in museums. I’m psyched to be able to hang this on the wall. Oil on canvas, 25” x 30”.Social/Sharing |

That's a gorgeous piece, Ben. For such a limited color palette, Schoonover has created some wonderful lushness throughout. Congrats!
