Karate Kid vs. Dazzler by Rebekah Isaacs

I can't remember where I first saw Rebekah Isaaacs' work, it was either in Hack/Slash or Ms. Marvel, but I do remember that I was very impressed by her talent. Her work continued to improve every time I saw it, especially during her time on the Angel & Faith and Buffy the Vampire Slayer books. And more recently, she has delivered�some awesome art on Money Shot and BRZRKR! Anywho, I got on�Rebekah's commission list last spring, and after a few e-mails, we decided on a Dazzler vs. Karate Kid karaoke battle! And wow oh wow did Rebekah deliver! This commission is amazing! Rebekah did not skimp on details here, as we have Alison Blaire and Val Armorr absolutely wrecking a karaoke bar in their dueling duet! The characters themselves look fantastic (love Val's face!), and all of the drinks and karaoke equipment flying around just add to the awesomeness. Check out that poor waitress, the way Dazzler has bounced off of one speaker and onto another while roller skating, and the song list book Val is holding! There is so much to admire here! HUGE thanks to Rebekah for going above and beyond on this commission!

Karate Kid is the master of every martial art, but does he know karaoke-fu? I really don't know. But I do know that he'd try to win this karaoke battle just like any other battle! However, this time I believe it is the Dazzler who is the superior combatant. After Alison wins this battle, I think that she will show just how nice a person she is and offer Val some vocal�lessons!

Sure, why not? Dazzler's series had plenty of unexpected guest stars. This is the team-up we never knew we needed, with music and punches flying freely. When Princess Projectra catches Val making beautiful music with Al, the sparks will fly!

I knew k-fu :) Rebekah really seemed to have fun with this one! The pure illustration is great, not a scene you see everyday, and yes...just fun! Rock on! Or, disco on! Congrats!
