Karate Kid vs. The Black Panther by Sal Velluto & Bob Almond

Christopher Priest�s run on Black Panther is one of my favorite comics runs ever and Sal Velluto & Bob Almond were my favorite art team on that run. They are masters at storytelling and way too talented. They were the first and only artists I thought of for T�Challa when I was assigning artists to my list of opponents for Karate Kid. Of course they did not disappoint. I love the angle, the motion lines and the shining effects on BP�s claws & belt in this piece. Thanks again to Bob Shaw at Comic Art House for setting up this commission for me!

T�Challa is smarter than Val, but he�s just not as good a hand-to-hand fighter. T�challa would get in a couple of hits, and maybe even slash Val with his claws, so that Val would know he has been in a fight, but the victory would be Val�s. Val just better hope there�s not a second fight, because then Panther would be prepared and the results might be very different.

I love the Priest Black Panther run too. Perfect artists for this piece.
