Description

This is one of those curios things you see from 1970's DC. An inventory story is commissioned and work begun then stopped and the story "written off". As you can see by the notes on this page, this was supposed to be a 12-page story turned in September 1971. It sat for almost 4 years before being written off in 1975. Part of the reason it may have gone unpublished is the subject matter. I have 4 pages... I don't know if this is all he did or whether the other 8 pages exist.

As you can see, on the first three pages Jan, the lead character, is grabbed, fondled and harassed by almost every boy she knows in "Fun City" until Father Monaghan breaks up the gang with his cane. Plus, on page 4, Jan admits having lost faith in the church. A pretty rough story, not fitting with the typical morals and 1970's mold of "good girl/nice boy" stories seen in DC comics.

too bad. Sounds like it would've made for an interesting story. Many of these love stories were so cliche, I rolled my eyes. Thank goodness some of the art was really classy like Rosenberger's
