Description"CJ" is a name we often encounter at all the major comic art shows online. He possesses an encylopaedic knowledge of comics dating back to, well, time immemorial. He is also a realy nice person. Few, though, know that he is an extremely talented artist in his own right - and this marvellous pin-up demonstrates it in spades. I had in fact wondered whether it was too much to ask of a commission as I wanted a portrait of Jack Kirby, Wally Wood and Steve Ditko together at the Marvel Bullpen. Well, this piece is testimony not only to CJ's consummate skill as an artist but also to his meticulous attention to detail (please look beyond the figures to the astounding detail surrounding them). Please consider getting a commission from CJ. Many thanks, CJ, for this one!Social/Sharing |

Secondhand smoke and first-rate commission!
Many thanks, Rick. LOL! CJ got everything down to a tee - what with Jack's cigar and Woody's cigarette!

CJ creates a snapshot of a Marvelous gathering of talent and visionaries from which a Universe was born!

CJ is indeed a fine artist, as anyone who has seen his "Vanishing America" series of paintings can attest to. This is such a wonderful idea for a commission, and so well executed. As you say, CAB, it's not just about the main figures, but EVERYTHING else that gives the scene such solidity and realism.

Many thanks, Rubén. Yes, this is a truly fantastic piece which CJ knocked out of the park. He truly understood the then Marvel universe as well as its chief protagonists.
