DescriptionThe detail on this piece is amazing - right from the figure of Daredevil himself down to the crazy detail of the cityscape itself. Lovely perspective too. Many thanks to Annabel from Kirby's Comic Art for this artistic feast. It has been digitally colored and a giclee was produced as well.Social/Sharing |

The background looks like an engraving work with so many cuts and grooves done by pen and ink! Ol' hornhead never looked grander in presentation!

Absolutely spot on, Marcus! I fell in love with this piece the moment I saw it for precisely these reasons. As mentioned, the detail is truly amazing.

Many thanks, Ian! Yes, it was so easy for the piece to go wrong overall if there wasn't the sufficient perspective and depth. Overall, it just comes together so well, in my view.

Many thanks, Brian! If there was one word to describe this particular piece of artwork, that would certainly be it. I knew that it was something that I would like in my collection the moment I saw it.

Many thanks, Paul! The word "epic", whilst often overused, is not the case here! The detail is really mind boggling.

In comics, the city often becomes like unto a living, breathing character all its own, especially New York City, so the crazy detail of the cityscape is what I really like most here!

Many thanks, Rubén! Yes the rendition of the cityscape here is truly amazing. However, there was so much potential for the entire piece to become too cluttered and confused but somehow the artist has managed to pull it off so well.

Stunning
Many thanks, Ben! That was also my impression when I first saw it. The figure of DD is very carefully contrasted with the cityscape in such a seamless fashion that the piece just leaps out at you.

Congratulations! I was gearing up to pull on this, but was sloppy about getting to the drop. Love how he altered the tone so DD pops out from the background. Nice 3d effect and marvelous detail.
