DescriptionWe all love our jolly green giant, and we love transformation pages of him even more. This is one of the best that I have seen and the bonus is that it is by the great Sal Buscema and inked by Joltin Joe Sinnott! The Hulk battles the U-Foes which, depending on your view, is not a huge deal in terms of the storyline - but, goodness me, the top panel really rocks!Social/Sharing |

Many thanks, Ian! It is a rather unusual transformation page - much more nuanced with more images than usual.

LOL Marcus! He usually takes fewer steps - even without Vinnie erasures!

You may not like him when he's angry, but odds are you'll love him when he's angry as drawn by Sal Buscema and Joe Sinnott!

All the great poses. The incredible transformation. The beutiful inks and the shiny floors that give away the identity of the artist who drew them! Congrats!!

Many thanks, Duke! Sinnott was a really superb inker and it was so wonderful that he could ink this issue (in particular, the first panel on this page).

Many thanks! The transformation scene is, in my view, extremely well done - as mentioned, the figures actually transit well from one to the other.

As a 12 year old reading only my 6th monthly issue of Hulk, the U-Foes appearances were so much fun! The Buscema/Sinnott art was fantastic, too and this page in particular was seared into my brain ever since.
While most will be in awe of the top panel and rightfully so, I always loved the bottom two panels just as much. The figure work is so well done and I just love the way the Hulk grabs a large piece of metallic sheeting from the wall and wraps up X-Ray in one fell swoop!
Congratulations on a truly epic example!

Many thanks, Rubén! This demonstrates once again the variety in the sense of wonder in our hobby inasmuch as the same book or even page can appeal to so many of us in so many different ways.

Yes, Peter. After all, I've only been its steward for less than half a year! LOL!

I managed to snag three pages from issue 276 but down the road this would satiate future hunger. Lol.

Awesome Hulk Transformation scene! Sal Buscema was so good at drawing the Hulki and Joe Sinnott gives Sal's pencils that extra "something" that made Marvel...well, Marvel. Great Pick-up!
