Description

I'm so embarrassed, but I'm only vaguely sure this sketch is by Kilian Plunkett, known for his Star Wars work for various Dark Horse comics. It's been so long since I got this sketch, I'm really not sure. A review of other Plunkett work on CAF indicates he signs his sketches with a "K" in a small box, with the year, elements that are lacking here. If anyone has any information to offer about it, send me a message.

It's a shame I'm not certain of the provenance of this sketch is how the artist distinguished this moment from Star Wars Episode I with a goofy word balloon. The juxtaposition of a brutal demise and an absurd comedic element help set this sketch apart for me -- and it reinforced my feeling the theme was a good idea for the sketchbook.

Obtained at Comic-Con International San Diego in 2000.
