Description

I helped Peter Nguyen out last year when he came to Tokyo for the first International Comic Festival Tokyo and I found out that he wanted to come for another visit this year. So when asked if I wanted to set up a commission he would bring with him to the show, I said sure and thought about asking him to do a Harley and Ivy piece for me, two characters he does quite well. However, when I ran this by my buddy Yoshi, who is pretty good friends with Peter, he said I should try to think up some characters that he had not had so much experience with to make the commission fresher and more fun for Peter to tackle. So, I came up with a list of characters I was pretty sure he'd never tackled that included Black Orchid, Adam Strange and Ghibli Studio characters like Naussica or Princess Mononoke, but I had a feeling when I wrote down Tigra as an option that he would choose her, and I was right.
