Probably the best page from this story I've acquired so far and it's obvious that John soared at big panels such as the one here. If you have any pages for sale or trade from this story please contact me.

One of the best Man-Thing pages period IMO. I was very bummed to not get to contest this auction. Congrats!!!

Gerber's Man-Thing run was lucky to have such a breadth of artists. From Neal Adams to Ploog to Buscema and even Mooney -- and the reason they all worked on the character was (I think) Gerber. He knew how to write for the Marvel House Style in such a way that it was disturbing and subversive. Of course he gave John a barbarian to draw.

Yeah, the only reason I think this page went for so much on ebay is that big panel with the Viking and he is kind of like a really old Conan to some fans.

I definitely had my eye on this as well. The bottom panel is dynamite, and the Man-Thing shots are might fine as well. Tom Palmer once again shows why is one of Marvel's all-time top inkers. Big congrats, Greg!

Great Page. I like the three dimensional effect of the Viking!
