Description

Really like this page. It's from the original "Justice League"/"JLI"/"JLA" so-called "bwah-ha-ha" period, but couldn't be less funny. It shows the humanity of Maxwell Lord, years before DC f-ed the character up royally.

I like to remember *this* Maxwell Lord, when he was more than just a cardboard cutout villain.

The page shows a lot of work (at least a lot of Exact-O cutting) and it's hard to tell what it looked like originally. There is a text box missing from the middle right and a stat gone from the lower left. Someone also stickered over the original dedication from Al Gordon, who signed at the bottom.
