Description

I have several favorite comic book artists based upon comics that I read when I was much younger. One of my favorite series was the Justice League of America. Multiple heroes, sometimes multiple villians, or one villain hatching a plan to take out the entire team. Sometimes there were crossovers that brought more heroes into the mix. Issue 121 did just that as it brought in Adam Strange and his villain Kanjar Ro. Of course the villain always likes to talk about his plot instead of just doing it, and Kanjar Ro is no exception here. Dick Dillin was the Justice League artist and Frank McLaughlin did some fine work inking his pencils. I love the feel of these pages and am thrilled to be able to add more to my collection.

I too loved the JLA during the Dillin & McLaughlin era. The Adam Strange team-ups (a much rarer occurrence than the JSA crossovers) were always fun and even though your page is mainly an exposition page, it shows how the artists managed to mix things up in a lively manner, even throwing in a shot of the JLA satellite, while they moved the plot along.

I own page twelve from this same issue so thus the continuation of this encounter. And like yourself, I'm glad to have it in my collection. Adam Strange vs Kanjar Ro is a classic pairing. Congrats!
