DescriptionGreat splashy page where Martha Kent first reminisces about Superman's battle with Doomsday, and then compares the death scene between Lois & Clark with the heart attack scene between her & Jonathan a few days later.I'm a huge fan of the "Death of Superman" story, and I have my awesome amigo to thank for this one !! Pencils by Paul Ryan, inks by Brett Breeding. Social/Sharing |

That central image is epic!! I love the re-telling of the DOS storyline in all its drama on a single page! Such a creative way to show the parallels of the pain the characters endured and the gravity of the most bad @$$! battle in all of comics.

Always thought Paul Ryan did great justice to this iconic scene and was bummed to have missed the chance at this page when it was still presented at Brett Breeding's rep's site. I was shocked to learn of Paul's passing at such a young age, he's already greatly missed. Such a sad loss. R.I.P. Mr. Ryan.

You just gotta love this page! Reminds me of the window shattering punches from issue 75 (which may have been the first time my 10 year old mind learned that loud sounds can shatter glass)!
