HAL FORREST
Tailspin Tommy (1934)original daily comic strip art

India ink on heavyweight paper, art image size 6.75" x 26.25" on 7.5" x 29" sheet

Hal Forrest created the popular aviation-adventure comic strip in 1928 and continued it through its 14-year run until 1942. This original is signed "Hal Forrest" by the artist in the last panel. Bell Syndicate label is on the back.

This is the original final art for daily comic strip #2010 titled "Skeets Is Mortified!" that was published in newspapers in 1934. Skeeter makes a forced landing of his "antique" airplane and the owner of the property meets him with hostility.
