DescriptionThe 1987 Spider-Man Vs. Wolverine one-shot holds a special place in my heart. It is one of those books that I read over and over again, and many a page is seared into my psyche. It also holds the distinction of being the first comic book I ever read with Wolverine, and led me to add the Uncanny X-Men, and all things Mutant related, to my reading list. For me, this is one of the most memorable pages from the book. That last line, "I can't get him to stop smiling." is one which I find character defining in its description of Wolverine. I absolutely love this page. I have long admired it here on CAF, and am incredibly grateful to the former owner, Rick Loshiavo for seeing fit to sell me this page. Knowing my love for this book, and this page imparticularly, Rick could have really bent me over the barrel, so to speak; but instead, he did the exact opposite. He darn near brought me to tears, and that's not hyperbole. Thanks Rick!

That IS a great line. I love all the inner dialog on this page. Rivals the best of Marv's inner dialog on Miller's original Sin City. Congrats on scoring what I know is a very personal holy grail for you. I have no doubt you'll get a lifetime of enjoyment from this page.

I just reread it recently, and there are some really good pages during this final fight; but this is definitely the one that stuck with me through the years. I know it has a lot to do with that final line... I just love it!

Thanks A, it's my favorite too. I just love the line, "I can't get him to stop smiling.", and the broken headstone from the impacts of of Spidey's blows to Wolvie's adamantium coated skull. I think it was ingenious to keep said smile from us the viewer, so we can all envision it. So memorable.

This page merely proves that Wolverine is a masochist...which explains why he gets into all those fights!

Why did Spider-man not just entirely web him up so Wolverine could not move his wrists or arms? Wolverine is so easy to beat. All you have to do is stop him moving his arms! Lol.

My friends and I always agreed that Wolverine had the most punchable face in comics.
This is an awesome page.
