Description

The Provensens are two of my favorite artists. I have studied their careers in animation and children's books for many years. I was very lucky to get the opportunity to purchase a few prelims for some of their books. Art by the duo is very rare.

This looks to be a study for "The Golden Treasury of Myths and Legends," published in 1959. It could be something for their version of the Iliad and Odyssey, but I don't believe so. Either way, I love this time period of their careers. I'd love to find more original art from that period.

Wow! Wow! Wow! What a gorgeous piece! I love the style of the art, it has a look reminescent of the Bayeau Tapestry. A wonderful find, congrats!
