I remember the 1984 Summer Olympics quite well. I was 14. I was also a stamp collector back in those days and I did collect the US and Canadian stamps for these Olympics. I do recall these Bob Peak images but I don't remember where I saw them. They are not the ones used by the US Postal service although this series of paintings was commissioned by them. If any one knows how they were used, I would appreciate the info.

I bought two of these. My youngest son is a football fanatic (not American football, but soccer). He is going to love having this on his wall. The other is the swimming one. I grew up as a competitive swimmer. I was pretty good, I had some provincial records and I swam with several of the Canadians who went on to medal in the Olympics in later years. My eldest son swam competitively for a number of years as well. I love the pool and so this image spoke to me. Neither painting would be consider a prime Bob Peak piece but the art is nice and the themes resonate with my family and our lives.

I'm also a soccer aficionado and have had a signed, numbered print of this piece on the wall since 1984. Cool to see that you have the original art! Always thought the teams looked like Italy vs. Hungary
