Description

While I've never really ever been a big fan of the Li'l Abner strip, I figured it would fit in perfectly with my challenge of collecting Good Girl Art examples of lower cost newspaper strips. The reason I chose this example, is not only because it's a less frequently found 2 panel daily and contains a nice image of Daisy Mae, but also because it exhibits some beautifully drawn architecture reminiscent of the same winding staircases that George McManus and Zeke Zekely sometimes drew in the Bringing Up Father strip, which I adore.

What a great strip. I can see why you like it. The backgrounds are very detailed and the images are great and very diverse. The sketches on the back are a huge bonus. Your Li'L Abner strips are a great addition to your collection.
