DescriptionWhat? Somebody actually bought a Spider-Man strip with no Spider-Man images on it? Why bother? Yuck, what a waste of time and money, right!?Wrong, actually. I bought FIVE Spider-Man strips with no Spider-Man images on them! In keeping with my theme of trying to collect examples of Good Girl Art within comic strips priced in the lower end of the financial sphere, I was actually THRILLED to find and acquire these 5 examples! The first two dailies introduce the beautiful Dr. Sam Taylor, an oceanographer on board a ship with Peter Parker, as they sail their way to investigate something at the Bermuda Triangle. Both of the first two dailies are terrific because Stan Lee uses the opportunity to make an anti-chauvinist statement, which is very well done and really makes you cringe as you read the words coming out of Peter's mouth. The final 3 dailies are from the tail end of the same story line, where as you can see and read, Dr. Taylor ends up not only discovering that Peter is also Spider-Man, but also falls in love with him after a really inauspicious initial meeting. The story ends and segues into the next one with the final 2 dailies featuring 3 beautiful Good Girl Art depictions of Mary Jane. So really, who cares that Spidey isn't shown on any of these? Not me! RUBEN, I CAN CERTAINLY SEE WHY YOU WOULD ADD THESE OUTSTANDING STRIPS TO YOUR COLLECTION. EXCELLENT GOOD-GIRL EXAMPLES.
