Awesome! Did this sell complete with interiors? This got so much critical love back in the day. Deserves a new life!

I came to the Aardvark Vanaheim books like Journey and Flaming Carrot through Cerebus, but these books helped keep me coming to my LCS every week as I slowly but surely began to lose interest with Marvel/DC's regular superhero fare. Cheers!

What a treasure! I loved these books when they came out and more recently picked up both reprint volumes to enjoy them again.

Holy crap! I never noticed you own the first issue cover! A truly fabulous piece of 1980's independent comics history! I never did read it myself, but I do distinctly remember reading a lot of positive press about the series in the prozines of the day and even got to meet Messner-Loebs during the mid 80's at a local con. Kudos!
Oh, and what a great recreation, especially for such a young whippersnapper! The watercolors are fabulous.
