Description

This is a page from "Topolino e i Templi di Babu Simbel", first published in Topolino magazine #1702 (1988), written by Pier Francesco Prosperi and amazingly illustrated by Massimo De Vita.

Topolino #1702 was the very first issue published by The Walt Disney Italia.

The plot of the story is about aliens taking Mickey and Goofy on their spaceship and revealing to them their terrible plan to destroy the Earth. It turns out that a long, long time ago, a pharaoh similar to Goofy let strangers into the Nile crocodiles by chance. Unfortunately, re-arriving at the Blue Planet causes them more harm than in the past.

Here's a stunning splash page (you don't find much of them in Disney stories) with both Mickey and Goofy!
