Description

For many years, I have been searching for a really nice Wayne Boring comic book page from the 1950's. I've seen several...usually mediocre pages...where Superman is not in every panel. However, in a past Heritage Auction a few years ago, I came across this little gem. It had all the elements I was looking for...Superman in all panels...some with outer space backgrounds...a classic Wayne Boring cityscape...and a panel with Superman in mid flight. After seeing this page, I knew I would never find another one that could even compare. Besides that...this page came very close to being published the month I was born. Well...I was determined to win this page...and after a minute or two of vigorous bidding, I successfully did what I sought out to do. Anyway, this is definitely one piece of art that I will greatly cherish for a very long time to come.

Wow, that is stellar Ike! Congrats, I don't remember seeing it in Heritage...I would have been very tempted myself if I had for sure. Looks great in your collection!

Thanks Mike! This was in a 2014 Heritage Auction...I think in May.

This is brilliant. Incredible pagevof history and I love Stan Kaye inks on Golden Age Superman. Bravo!
