I keep meaning to post this and keep putting it off. In honor of FRANKENSTEIN ALIVE ALIVE seeing completion, I suppose now is as good a time as any. I bought this from Bernie and Liz Wrightson some years back, and it's held a place of extreme honor in my collection ever since. I knew I'd never be able to afford one of Bernie's Frankenstein plates, or one of his classic HOUSE OF MYSTERY pages, so I figured this was the next best thing. In 2008, Bill Willingham and Matthew Sturges re-launched HOUSE OF MYSTERY at DC Comics, and some of those issues featured some pretty amazing art by industry legends. Issue #9 was an instant favorite, with a story by Willingham and art by Wrightson, and featuring Bernie's take on "a vampire", "a werewolf", "a mummy", Creature of the Black Lagoon and Dr. Frankenstein and his monster. I told Liz the minute I saw it "Please hold THIS page for me." I was so excited to get this, and to buy it directly from Bernie too. So I may not have a Wrightson Frankenstein plate, or classic HOM page of his, but I do own a Bernie Wrightson HOUSE OF MYSTERY page featuring Frankenstein... and I couldn't be happier.

Side note - this story was Bernie's last new interior work at DC Comics.

Never seen this before but I LOVE his take on Peter Cushing! This is a real treasure.
