DescriptionI had gotten out of comics for a while and then came back. I was surprised at the direction they had taken with the ATOM and did some catching up. I found that I actually liked and enjoyed the new direction rather than the typical swashbuckling daring do of the other costumed heroes. And this particular story line reminded me of a similar story run that I had loved as a kid involving the Incredible Hulk. Issue 140 was called "The Brute That Shouted Love at the Heart of the Atom; the hero shrinks down and finds a new colony of unusual skin-colored people (Blue for hulk and Yellow for Atom).It was my good fortune to pick up some pages from the story line, even though it was the last hurrah in an annual. As you can see, it contains art typical of the period by Pat Broderick and Dennis Janke. Social/Sharing |
