That's exactly what the cartoon star appears to be in this scene of a compromised archery contest. Nephew and niece Knothead and Splinter seem none too pleased with their crazy uncle -- but therein lies the urgent dramatic conflict, and the comical delight, of this nifty composition. The unbilled artist employs an Escher-like unreal perspective to put across the point. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 10" x 15". Excellent condition.Social/Sharing |
