DescriptionA Marvel character at the peak of his popularity meets a legend at the twilight of his career. Written by Punisher co-creator Gerry Conway with art duties handled by Dave Cockrum, Punisher: Bloodlines was originally intended as a Marvel Comics Presents storyline, but perhaps the editors felt a one-shot better met the demand of Punisher fans. On this cover you see something that was not uncommon with the Punisher covers of the 90s: Frank Castle guarding over children (sometimes with their mother). Why? The boy and the girl on this cover, for example, serve as surrogates for Frank’s own deceased children, Lisa and Frank Jr.11"x17" Ink over pencil on Marvel illustration board. Really dig this image. It’s emotive - powerful yet calming when you look at it. Hard to explain...and that’s a good thing! Congrats1
