Description
In the swamps of an unknown location, The Punisher displays his jungle tactical skills picked up in Vietnam.

My favorite parts of The Punisher title during the Copper Age were the pinup galleries in the back. I'm happy to grab an example.

Tod Smith (1953-2025), in memoriam.

11" x 17"
Inks over pencil on Marvel Comics illustration board.

Brutal Pinup!  Shows the savagery that is at the core of The Punisher!

Whew!  Frank's expression there not lost on anyone.  Never good for the bad guys.  Great pin-up!  Congrats!

Oh wow! It looked to be early in your career but I didn't know it was that early! You put in 110% in that one!

Kick-ass pin-up from the back of The Punisher. Love this intense scene of Frank Castle emerging from a pond, bloody knife in his hand as he ambushes one of the hoodlums tracking him. It plays right into his history of learning combat technique as a GI in Vietnam. In the background, silhouetted killers on the hill behind react in panic. This is one of the best Punisher pin-ups I've seen in a while. Great pick-up, congrats!

Very intense page full of plenty of great detail.  A testament to the talent of the late Tod Smith.
