DescriptionOne of Robert Rodríguez's comps for “The Last Boy Scout”. The base for this is a Xerox print; deadlines were pretty tough, so Rodriguez used a bunch of different photos of the actors to to compose the main poster layout. Then he used prismacolor pencils on the print to finish the design and mark the right shapes. One of these was approved and a final painting was done, but the studio decided to take the photo route. Art trivia; the final painting was not completely dismissed, because (as far as the art director told Rodriguez) it was partially used on the final poster for some details on Wayans body / clothes (apparently the photo they had didn’t have ‘em).Social/Sharing |
