Description

Got this artwork directly from Bill in mid 1990s :-) when I was with him in correspondence with Barks' surviving comic book artwork.
His signature and dedication is at the bottom.

This 10-pager was first time published in Gladstone's Donald Duck #286 in 1994.

There is very nice splash panel, actually it is the 3rd splash panel in this story.
William Van Horn used splash panels rather sparsely. Apart from the start panels, there appear only about 70 half-page panels on his more than 1450 Disney pages.

As an example how comic book original artwork is shrunk into comic books there is next to the artwork the same page from the Finnish Aku Ankka comic book.
