Description

Here is a menu from the Dec. 20, 1945 Artists Victory Loan Dinner featuring pencil drawings by four cartoonists in attendance. Cartoonists in attendance doing sketches for the audience as entertainment: Rube Goldberg, Walter Berndt, Ernie Bushmiller, Gus Edson, Russell Patterson and C.D. Russell. Where's Milton Caniff? The presence of Dot Parkington, model for Miss Lace (See other images), suggests that Caniff did a live drawing of her as Lace.
