Description

This character design was done while Dave was working on the Legion of Super-Heroes. Trio was intended as a native of Triplicate Girl/Duo Damsel's home planet of Cargg. Dave first designed the character for a group he later called the Outsiders. He had hoped that the team, which included Nightcrawler, would guest star in the Legion book. It never happened and Nightcrawler went on to become a member of the X-Men.

If Trio looks familiar, it's because Dave re-used several elements of the character when designing Storm, particularly the design of the cape.

This has been part of my collection since 2008. While technically unpublished in comic book form, this was printed in the X-Men Epic Collection Second Genesis book in 2017.
