Description

PUBLISHED ON JULY 17 1958

Long Sam is an American comic strip created by Al Capp, writer-artist of Li'l Abner, and illustrated by Bob Lubbers. It was syndicated by United Feature Syndicate from May 31, 1954 to December 29, 1962.[1] The strip was initially written by Capp, who soon turned the duties over to his brother, Elliot Caplin. Lubbers eventually assumed the writing duties himself in the strip's last few years.

Anche a te voglio ricordare che il 6 aprile uscirà il MAXI TEX contenente "La Chiromante" scritto da P.Ruju con i fantastici disegni di un grande della comic art R.Felmang .

è un mio carissimo amico... l'albo in questione è stato realizzato con una inchiostrazione abbastanza elaborata, in alcuni casi il disegno è ricco di tratti molto sottili, speriamo che il tutto venga riprodotto alla perfezione e con una ottima stampa.

Thank you for sharing this Long Sam strip, it is a beautiful example of Bob Lubbers' artwork. I wonder if United Features received many letters in response to the request in the last panel!

Also to you I want remember that on the first week of April, here in Italy will be published by Sergio Bonelli Editore, a special issue of TEX called MAXI TEX containing two episodes of this famous ranger (born in the year 1948). The very special second story of the volume, titled "La Cartomante" is an episode written by Ruju with the excellent artwork of a a well known artist, a big surprise .
