December 2007; "Special Halloween Issue". Ummmm...that's weird to have a DECEMBER date but a "Halloween" story. But if you read comics, you get it. This is from a storyline called SAWBONES. Truly a gruesome story of a doctor performing actions on his victims. Think Josep Mengel after the Civil War. Great story and I LOVE the art styling of David Michael Beck.

For a while, I have seen a series of pages available for sale from David Michael Beck's run on Hex. And I kept thinking, "Someday I gotta get soem of this". Well I finally did and I am not kicking myself for waiting so long. When I received the art and could look at it "live", I was blown away. David Michael Beck's work was in graphite (?I think?) and it is gorgeous. I don't remember whether this book, story, and art got it's due back when it come out in 2007, but it really is some great work.
