Description

13x20-3/8" artboard features two-page spread from "Drag" #13, published in 1965. This spread advertised "Drag Cartoons" shirts featuring the hot rods and monsters designs of Ed "Big Daddy" Roth, w/28 different designs shown as cut-out paste-over stats (Rat Fink included). Bottom margin features pen and ink original art by Roth, w/his usual assortment of zany characters and even a handwritten reference to his birthday at lower left. Centerfold area features cut-out paste-overs w/hand-lettered text over Roth's tree art. Art has Rubylith sheet attached at top. Aged tape strips at top/bottom of Rubylith sheet. Margins have publication inkstamps and handwritten editorial notations. Some scattered handling wear w/more moderate wear to right corners. Vertical fold at center. Artboard is Fine overall but art remains clean and Exc.
