Description

Bagley Week, Day Five! (I am committed ... or maybe I should just be committed ...)

Twenty-six years before his extraordinary work on the title All-New X-Men, and two years before he began his legendary run on Amazing Spider-Man, Mark Bagley drew a one-shot X-Men comic called "Uncanny X-Men: Madness In Murderworld," which was bundled with the X-Men: Madness in Murderworld video game.

This is a really fun action-packed page from that issue, starring six X-Men battling a Sentinel.

Remember playing this game at my friend's house on his computer. But after a while we got stuck on a level and didn't know how to advance. :(

Got to love those 80's video games that you couldn't complete.

Despite that, great page Paul! Congrats!

If we're honest, Williams didn't do Bagley any favours with his inks, though perhaps Bagley only did layouts or breakdowns? Either way, what a cool find, as I've never seen or even heard of this video game tie-in. That's a really neat piece of Bagley history, and I love that it has the characters from the X-Men era I love most! Also, even though he drew Wolverine with a bloated torso (too many corn dogs!), that is an otherwise fabulous cover by Butch Guice! Seeing this made my day, so glad you posted it.

Oh, takin' it back to some vintage Bagley!  A rare one, Paul - cool to see!  Lotsa mutant action throughout and I personally love the Sentinels - just one of the best villain designs ever and it's cool seeing Bagley's rendition here!  Congrats!

A really fun action packed page from a very exclusive comic, early Bagley work which makes it even more Uncanny, congrats!
