DescriptionA really nice large art cover featuring the Dark Avengers --- Wolverine (Daken), Spider-Man (Mac Gargan), Hawkeye (Bullseye), Ms. Marvel (Karla Sofen/Moonstone), Captain Marvel (Noh-Varr), Ares, Sentry and Iron Patriot (Norman Osborn) --- descending upon Hercules and Amadeus Cho, with a wonderful nighttime city background.In January 2008, Hercules took over Hulk’s title in the wake of World War Hulk, becoming The Incredible Hercules! His book was a fan favorite, spawning two mini-series and another brief ongoing in 2011 before Hercules disappeared for a while. The "Dark Reign" era was the aftermath of the "Secret Invasion" story line, where Norman Osborn became a national hero by killing the Skrull Queen which led to the Skrulls' defeat. Due to his rise in power, he replaced Tony Stark as head of S.H.I.E.L.D. and was able to form his own team of Avengers. The whole idea of one of Marvel's greatest super villains becoming essentially the most powerful man in the United States (and perhaps the World) was fascinating to me. And though I loved all the stories associated with this era, I can't for the life of me remember how that all ended. Anyway, I was thrilled to grab this cover, as it feature the entire Dark Avengers team. Social/Sharing |

Don't envy Herc and Amadeus right now but I ain't Herc - he's got a "bring it!" expression on :) Nice composition and perspective on this as the heroes descend upon and close in on the titular hero! Really neat effect. Congrats!

I love Williams' Michael Golden inspired style. The view is great too, like you're one of the characters descending along with the others!

David Williams is a great talent that! I always enjoy seeing his covers because they always tell a story. And the expressions on the characters never disappoint. Really great cover you have! Congrats!
