Description

One of my favorite things to do every year at SDCC is to go to Albert Moy's booth and drink in all the new pieces on display from Darwyn Cooke- my favorite artist. Almost everything is beyond my price range, but its a joy to look at the work up close, and see the late master's work in person.
This July, with no SDCC, Albert still had a nice collection of Darwyn pages for sale, including a few tiny gems that happened to be in my range.

The Before Watchmen books were something I was skeptical about, like many fans, but when they announced Darwyn was going to be working on the Minutemen, I couldnt help but be excited. Hollis Mason is not only my favorite character from Watchmen but also one of the best costume designs. Perfect match for Darwyn. This piece had mysteriously sat both in the booth in 2019 and then online without anyone scooping it up. So this July I had to grab it along with the Harley prelim you can view elsewhere in my collection.

I love how loose this is and yet you can still see what Cooke was going for. Great prelim from a fantastic artist! Congrats!

Thank you. You're right, even though it's fast and loose, you can spot it as him from across the room.
