Description

Original version was a Whitman Pub. Co. BETTER LITTLE BOOK (1944). This 9"X 13" softcover published in Mexico (1946) by Ediciones Modernas, S.de R. L.. The story however was done first with plot and pencils by Floyd Gottfredson; script by Merrill De Maris; inks by Bill Wright; appearing in the strip "Land of Long Ago" (40-41). Several wonderful full color illustrations. Features Goofy, Mickey, Professor Dustybones the Chair of Science Dryupp University (first appearance)and a cast of cavemen and dinosaurs.Shown is the front and back cover. An Iguanadon was a large bipedal herbivorous dinosaur of the mid Cretaceous period. - Of particular interest is the index with 100+ listings of Disney releases in Mexico. I have a lifetime of American and foreign publications made in the 30's-40's that i might live long enough to post in a separate gallery room. - I wish i could see many existing collections.
