DescriptionDetective Comics #985 original cover art for "On the Outside, Part 3" (September 2018). There is something about the macabre and the Dark Knight, and throughout Batman's history he has dealt with a variety of spooky things, including he himself turning into a vampire! This cover definitely has more of a crazed evil zombie feel to it, and as is typical of Barrows' work, the details are incredible. It is also the first cover in the Detective Comics Rebirth to go this route, making it unique on that front. Makes sense that the main antagonist is Karma, who is quite macabre in his own right! Eddy isn't necessarily known for his horror elements, though his take on Clayface definitely delves in that direction. And boy does he do it well. Pencils done by Eddy Barrows, and inks done by Eber Ferreira on 11" X 17" DC art board.Social/Sharing |

If I didn't know better, I'd think that was the Venom symbiote taking over Batman! Such great inking by Ferreira.
