Description

The story is "ex of Babs".
Lisa decides not to go to a comic fair with Buddy. But when she hears that Joel, Bab's ex - whom she just cheated on - is coming to visit, she still wants to get out quickly.

The protagonist is Buddy Bradley, a pathetic loser who leaves a hostile family to live on his own. The destination is Seattle, cradle of the alternative culture of the 1990s, where she hopes to enjoy life away from her annoying sister and conformist parents. He will face a harsh reality related to the need to share the apartment with a group of misfits and with the need to provide for himself financially. Bagge through his exuberant and caricatured style creates the parody of a generation of alternative young people, ruthlessly exposing their weaknesses. Everything is exaggerated from the eyes, to the explosions of anger, to the most total apathy. His work is rich in physical humor and bursting; Bagge focuses a lot, both in the drawings and in the brilliant dialogues, on the insecurities and frustrations of his characters, insecurities and frustrations that are those of a generation of young people. In the end Buddy, after a series of relationships with women biize, surrenders and returns home with his tail between his legs, certifying his failure.

La meta e� Seattle, culla della cultura alternativa degli anni Novanta, dove spera di godersi la vita lontano dalla fastidiosa sorella e dai genitori conformisti. Si scontrera� con una dura realta� legata alla necessita� di dividere l�appartamento con un gruppo di disadattati e con la necessita� di provvedere a se stesso economicamente. Bagge attraverso il suo stile esuberante e caricaturale crea la parodia di una generazione di giovani alternativi, mettendone a nudo con spietatezza le debolezze. Ogni cosa e� esagerata dagli occhi, alle esplosioni di rabbia, fino all�apatia piu� totale. La sua opera e� ricca di umorismo fisico e prorompente; Bagge si concentra molto, sia nei disegni che nei brillanti dialoghi, sulle insicurezze e frustrazioni dei suoi personaggi, insicurezze e frustrazioni che sono quelle di una generazione di giovani. Alla fine Buddy, dopo una serie di relazioni con donne bizzare, si arrende e torna a casa con la coda tra le gambe, certificando il proprio insuccesso.
