Description

For Finlay Friday, I thought I'd post this illo by the great Virgil Finlay, which my friend Bob Weinberg and I picked up several years ago. It's from the August 1942 issue of Famous Fantastic Mysteries, for A. Merritt's "Creep, Shadow!" The inscription is to Mary Gnaedinger, who at the time was the editor of FFM.
