DescriptionThis is a beautiful process sketch on scratch paper of Buck Rogers flying with Wilma Deering by the late great George Tuska! Tuska drew the Buck Rogers comic strip from 1959 until it was cancelled in 1967 and as I understand George was unhappy that Wilma was not a character in his story arc! I'm surprised as I've read much of the original Dick Calkin;s drawn Buck Rogers from 1929 and Wilma was the Dale Arden of the series, sometimes damsel in distress, other times the linchpin resolving a plot. Funny that Wilma was brought back in the 1980's TV series by Erin Gray (love that costume ^_^ )I purchased this from none other than Dewey Cassell whom is the author of The Art Of George Tuska and one of Tuska's good friends ^_^ I am honored to own this piece Social/Sharing |
