DescriptionI always liked Chris Samnee's Cap and was lucky to get this interior page to the landmark 700th issue! Great page of Cap bursting out of the ice to witness the aftermath of an explosion. If you aren't familiar with this story, it is a time travel gem by Mark Waid and this scene is when the modern Cap breaks free after the future Cap sacrifices himself. Pencils & inks by Samnee. This run showcased all of Samnee's artistic and storytelling techniques. It was amazing he made the originals available. This one is a showstopper!

Agreed! An iconic page considering the story, as well as the back-story (Cap being frozen in ice at the end of WW2). Happy to have a Samnee page in my collection, considering he only did 14 Cap issues, with #700 being his last.
