Description

This is an early concept sketch for Gorr, The God Butcher. This appears to be of his "god" form from the God Bomb arc and is likely the earliest sketch of that form of the character. I love seeing these "true firsts" and particularly love the notes on this one.

As far as I'm aware this piece is unpublished, but let me know if I'm wrong! It's possible it's in the back of a TPB or other collected edition I haven't seen.

Ooh, initial concepts of a fave character?! I KNOW you diggin' this, Rob! Not published...maybe for now. Let's get the petition going! I mean we're about to see Christian Bale take his MCU turn as Gorr - definitely warranted! Congrats!

Model sheets and early sketches like this are always so nice to see. All the thought process is on full display! Huge congrats!

Man, these pieces where the artist concieved the character are done with the thought of giving birth of something new unto the universe of funny books, animated, live action , merchandising, and more. Wonderfully done with long and short strokes battering the open paper with an explosion of creative graphite.
