DescriptionA page from the limited edition Kenner comic meant to promote the Superboy vs. King Shark toy set. The comic was never released with the toy however, so it has a very limited printing. I'm fortunate enough to have gotten a copy some years ago, and I always thought it would be fun to own a page from the very short (10 page long) story. Fortunately, Tom Grummett's art rep made two pages available during the Spring 2021 ComicArt Live, and I was able to pick up this beauty.Social/Sharing |

Typically wonderful figure work by Grummett and the thin lined technique he and Hazlewood employed to delineate the movement of the water is beautiful. It adds to the scene rather than distract with too many lines. Great stuff!

Nice crossover appeal for toy and comics readers. It's as rare as prototype figures in the toy world.
