Tuska and Giacoia worked brilliantly together on Iron Man #5 and other early issues and reunited for this incredible #40 cover two years later. Great image! Great cover! 50 years later, this image can still be licensed out today by Marvel for Iron Man merch and still be hugely popular.

This may be a generational argument. And Layton's name will most likely come out on top over all. But when I think of Iron Man, the one name that pops into my head is George Tuska. Congrats Dino! Just the kind of gem one would expect to see in your collection.

This is one superb cover! A few year before my collecting time began so not an image I remembe but certainly one I won't forget now.

Congratulations on the nice pick-up! What a beauty! As you note, the IM figure was used in a bunch of different places, including toys and games. I'm jealous even if it is before my collecting period. :)

Tuska is a Wizard that could give a tin man a heart and soul. The body language and humanity of Tony Stark comes through even with the thick layer of metal that encapsulates him.

Great back issue nostalgia with this cover! I remember this one well in the back stock at the LCS and oping it would still be there when I came back with more money. Great acquisition Dino!
