Description

The third of three pages from this obscure series, that I bought on ebay in 2001. Bob Powell's last published work, apparently, which appeared in the magazine "Teen Life," and, in a different form, as a syndicated newspaper strip, in 1966-67. I think Powell really put time and care into these pages, the most naturalistic of his work that I've ever seen.

Every panel is a treasure and the art of the teen genre is taken to a new level of polish and status. It turns a script that could have been turned in a cartoony style and gives it prestige.
