The seance gathering is fine storytelling. The larger panel is more fantastical. Both are connected by energies beyond our comprehension where we resort to creating stories to believe in.

Thanks Marcus! All very true. I love Burnham's work and I love this book. And most of the available pages from the book are far too terrifying to have on display in my family's home. I love this page because, exactly as you say, it's the two distinct sets of people/aliens, messing around with things beyond their understanding.
