Description

The wonderful Stanley Pitt! One of a series of Western covers produced in Australia. Each was a beautiful pice of dramatic storytelling. I love his work on Silver Star, which I wish would be collected. His work deserves much more acclaim.

Beautiful true western storytelling on this painting. It was not always tales of legend, but the harsh rugged lifestyle that tested man in the frontier world. The colors around the main figures have that wonderful color wash paints to frame thir situation. Technically clean and dramatically intense!

Marcus, glad you enjoyed it. I grew up on Westerns. This piece keeps those memories alive. Pitt does not get nearly the attention he deserves. Like you, I love the pallet of this piece. His ink pieces are equally amazing.
