Description

From Legends of the Dark Knight: Prey, issue 15, p 11, Feb. 1991. DC Comics Inks by Terry Austin, I think.

Gulacy was one of my favorite artists as a kid, for his work on Master of Kung Fu. Now, I see the strength and weakness in his work... very precise line work and form-making, and imaginative layout (if highly derivative of Steranko in his earlier stuff). On the other hand it could be stiff and his complex compositions could become cluttered and airless a times. This page avoids those problems, I think, and shows off his (and Austin') beautiful handling of pattern and texture as well.

My all-time favorite "Legends of the Dark Knight" story. Gulacy did incredible work on this page and throughout the story arc.
